ImageHere it is July already, Wow!!  I hope everyone's Summer is warm and well. After the extended Winter we had in most locations across the planet, the sun and the heat are most welcome. Heat up the grill and get ready for some aviation trivia for July.. Have a great month!!

July, 1995 - the Eurofighter is unveiled to the public for the first time and five days later goes supersonic for the first time.  July, 1990 - custody of the Hughes Flying Boat (The Spruce Goose) went to the Evergreen Aviation Museum, located in McMinnville, Oregon where it is currently on display.  July, 1935 - The first flight of the Boeing B-17, which became the most mass produced four engine bomber of WWII.  July, 1934 - The Curtiss Robin was the first aircraft ever to fly a total of 635 hours, 34 minutes before landing.  July, 1937 - The Focke Wulf FW-61 flew to become the first fully controlled helicopter in flight.  July, 1942 - First operational jet aircraft to fly, the Me262.  July, 1943 - First operational jet bomber to fly, the Arado AR-234.  July, 2005 - The Lone Wolves meet in Blackpool, England for a historic weekend together, 16 LWs attended the weekend event!
